Questions people ask before they book

Do you cover my area?

Yes if you are anywhere in Kent, and we also cover Hastings, Rye, Dungeness and the coast down to Bexhill. We are based in Dover so Thanet, Deal, Folkestone, Canterbury and Ashford are quickest, but Medway, Maidstone, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks are all regular runs. See the full list on the areas we cover page.

Are quotes and site visits free?

Yes. Free quotes within two business days. We come out, look at the property, talk through what you actually need and send a written quote with the warranty for each system stated in it. There is no charge and no pressure if you decide not to go ahead.

Do you do call outs?

Yes. In normal business hours, Monday to Saturday 7am to 6pm, a call out is £75 plus £30 an hour. Out of hours, 7pm to 6am and all day Sunday, it is £95 plus £40 an hour.

Can you install something I have already bought?

Yes. If you have bought a TV, a Ring doorbell, a Sonos system, a mesh WiFi kit or anything else and it is still in the box, we will install it, connect it and show you how it works.

Do you cover homes near me?

If you are anywhere in Kent, yes. Use the postcode checker above for a straight answer, or send your postcode with the enquiry. The Dover base means East Kent is quickest, but the whole county is covered with travel included.

How long does a typical install take?

A four camera CCTV system or a whole house WiFi upgrade is usually one day. A single TV wall mount with hidden cables is two to three hours. Larger smart home or cabling jobs are quoted with a day count up front.

Yes. AC Home Tech is the new name for AJC Network & Security, with the same team, the same phone number and the same qualifications. The rebrand reflects the shift towards smart home technology for homeowners alongside the network and security work we have always done.
