What actually happens

Choose a trigger and follow it through

An Ajax system does more than sound a siren. This is the sequence from sensor to alert.

Trigger

The sensor fires

Response

The house responds

What it looks like on your phone

Every event arrives as a notification with the sensor name, the time and, for MotionCam sensors, a photo. Arm, disarm and check the system from the same app.

How it works

How an alarm install works

Most alarm installs are done in a day. Here is the order things happen in.

Free survey

We walk the property and identifies the entry points, the rooms that matter and where sensors should sit.

System design

A written plan listing every sensor, siren and keypad, with the price. Usually with you the same day.

Install

Wireless sensors fitted, the hub connected and configured, sirens mounted. Most homes are done in half a day.

Handover

App set up for everyone who needs it, arming schedules configured and a full test with you watching.

Aaron was recommended by a colleague of mine to install a camera system at my property. From the moment he arrived at my home he was polite, hard working and very respectful of my property. His knowledge of the system he was installing was excellent. He took his time to show me all the features and system settings several times until I was comfortable using it. He goes above and beyond to achieve the very highest workmanship.

Alarms and access control questions

Is a wireless alarm as good as a wired one?

For modern systems, yes. Ajax is Grade 2 certified, uses encrypted radio with jamming detection and reports over broadband with 4G backup. It is accepted by insurers and avoids the disruption of chasing cables into your walls.

Do you offer monitoring?

Yes. Self monitoring through the app is included, and for homes and businesses that want it we can connect the system to a monitoring centre that will call keyholders or the police. We will explain the options and costs during the survey.

How long do the batteries last?

Ajax sensors run for around five years on their batteries and the app tells you well in advance when one needs changing.

Can I have pets in the house with the alarm set?

Yes. Ajax motion sensors have pet immunity for animals up to around 20kg. For larger dogs we position sensors and use door contacts so you can arm the house without false alarms.

What does an alarm cost in Kent?

It depends on the size of the property and the sensors you want. A typical home is priced after a free survey with an itemised list, and adding smoke, leak or camera sensors later is straightforward.

Do you do call outs?

Yes. In normal business hours, Monday to Saturday 7am to 6pm, a call out is £75 plus £30 an hour. Out of hours, 7pm to 6am and all day Sunday, it is £95 plus £40 an hour. Free quotes are separate and carry no charge.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. Free quotes within two business days, with the warranty for each system stated in the quote.
